Travel and Accommodations

Haven't been to Cleveland? Come to drumFantasy.08 and, in addition to finding the world's best drummers (and a lot of great new friends to learn with), you might be surprised at what you find!

The facts

Cleveland is the 12th largest radio/TV market and ninth largest industrial market in the nation. The "forest city" is home to more than a dozen Fortune 500 companies, the nation's second-largest performing arts district, the most museums per capita, and one of the nation's best symphony orchestras.

Downtown Cleveland is currently undergoing an estimated $4.5 billion in development, including new apartments/condos, redevelopment of the famous "Flats" area, and the Euclid Corridor transportation project, which will bring trolley-like buses (resembling trains from the city's street car era) to connect downtown with the campus of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.

Add to that the stunning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, great sports venues, great dining, and tons of industrial-era character, and you have great host city for the second Drum Fantasy Camp.

The hotel

The Hyatt Regency at the Arcade is a stunning boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland. It is within walking distance of the city's best downtown attractions.

The hotel is part of Cleveland's colonial-era arcade, which was completed in 1890. Touted as the nation's first shopping mall, Hyatt refurbished the building and added a conference facility in the late '90s - at a cost of $60 million.

The Hyatt is partnering with drumFantasy.08 to make the experience as seamless and satisfying as possible. The camp will be held right downstairs in a the hotel's conference facility, giving campers easy access to their rooms during breaks and area restaurants and attractions during break time.

Accommodations at the Hyatt will be made through Drum Fantasy Camp as part of the "camp" package. Please refer to our registration page for details.

Getting there...

Cleveland is regional hub for Continental Airlines, providing plenty of affordable and convenient flights into the city. We recommend searching for flights at www.continental.com as well as popular travel sites such as www.expedia.com and www.travelocity.com .

When you arrive in Cleveland, downtown is only a 22 minute ride away on Cleveland's RTA light rail train. The fare is just $1.75 each way, and we'll have a van to get you from the downtown station to the hotel (a 30-second drive).

We'll send out an e-mail to registered out-of-town campers a few weeks prior to the camp with all the details on getting to the camp.

Want to extend you trip?
